Animation test draft walkthrough

This animation is for a fake promo of a story idea I have.

What follows after the jump is a basic walkthrough of how the animation above was created in no particular order.

1.  I created the fire first using a particle effect.
2. To give more of the effect of a fire I utilized the fractal blur effect, and later added a time blend. The file was then rendered to make it easier for later.

3. I then made the face.  Right now what you see is a layer with a fractal noise effect placed upon it.  Below it is a solid layer.

4.  The solid layer of green was animated using a mask.  It was then overlayed with the fractal noise layer shown above.

5.  Everything was then compiled in the final video with a turbulent displacement placed upon the aforementioned fire particles.

6.  A glow effect was placed on the final composition.

etc. etc.  The voice was modified in Garageband.  It is my voice heavily modified.

more etc.  There are errors usually only noticed after rendering, which is why it is very important to check every once in a while.  For instance there is somewhat of a hard edge on the fire at about 1/3 and 2/3 of the width of the film.

even more etc.  Rendering takes a long time :-P.  Though not as long as 3D.

If you have any questions email them or post them in the comments.

Also, Happy Mother's Day!
